Bio

As director of Population and Indigenous Health, and Classifications and Terminologies, Keith Denny provides strategic leadership to the Population Health and Indigenous Health teams on analysis and reporting related to health system equity, and to the Classifications and Terminologies team on the development, application and use of health classifications and related terminological standards. 

Dr. Denny has more than 20 years of experience in the health sector as an educator, manager and researcher, and serves as the head of the Collaborating Centre for the World Health Organization Family of International Classifications (WHO-FIC) hosted at CIHI. 

He has graduate degrees in information science and social science, as well as a PhD from the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health. He is also an adjunct research professor at Carleton University and an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Victoria.
