Who is CIHI?

We are an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comparable and actionable data and information that are used to accelerate improvements in health care, health system performance and population health across Canada.

We work closely with federal, provincial and territorial partners and stakeholders across Canada to collect, package and distribute data and information on topics like mental health, substance use, health spending and COVID-19. This information helps inform health policy, management, care and research across the country.

For more than 25 years, CIHI has set the pace on data privacy, security, accessibility and innovation to improve Canada’s health systems.

CIHI is a pan-Canadian organization and we have representation across Canada. Our 2 main offices are in Ottawa and Toronto. We have regional offices in Victoria and Montréal.
