Bio

Mr. Eric Beaulieu is 1 of 2 members representing the Atlantic (Region 5) on CIHI’s Board of Directors. Mr. Beaulieu has worked for the Province of New Brunswick since 1996. He was named deputy minister of the Department of Health on July 1, 2022, after serving as deputy minister of the Department of Social Development since 2017. Prior to being named deputy minister, Mr. Beaulieu served as deputy clerk for the Executive Council where he provided strategic advice to the government and the civil service, and worked collaboratively to ensure the direction of the government is implemented. 

Concurrently, Mr. Beaulieu was also assistant deputy minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and led the New Brunswick government’s intergovernmental policies and strategies. 

Prior roles include assistant deputy minister of Business and Trade Development for the Department of Economic Development, vice president of Corporate Services for the New Brunswick Internal Services Agency and chief financial officer for the Department of Health.

Mr. Beaulieu has a BBA from the University of Moncton and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and also holds the Chartered Director designation from McMaster University — DeGroote School of Business.
