For the third year in a row, CIHI is being recognized as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers External link, opens in new window.
This special designation recognizes the employers in the Ottawa–Gatineau metropolitan area that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. The annual competition, which forms part of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, also identifies those employers that lead in attracting and retaining employees.
David O’Toole, CIHI’s president and CEO, said, “Like for most organizations, the move to working from home was sudden. At first, it was new and took some getting used to. We didn’t know what was ahead and important decisions had to be made quickly. Everyone pulled together to make it work, and since we’ve settled in our team has found ways to innovate and meet new challenges.
“Using technology, we’ve stayed connected and maintained our strong corporate culture, and we’ve been working hard to meet the data and information needs of Canada’s health systems as they grapple with the pandemic.”
